Dr. June Henton is Dean of the College of Human Sciences. Her goal is for Human Sciences graduates to be technically competent in their respective fields of study, as well as globally aware and socially engaged. She launched the War on Hunger effort with the UN World Food Programme to offer innovative, multi-faceted learning. jhenton@auburn.edu
Dr. Harriet W. Giles is Director of External Relations for the College of Human Sciences at Auburn University. She has been actively involved in the War on Hunger campaign since its inception in 2004 - working with Dean June Henton and other campus leaders to conceptualize and implement the Auburn Hunger Model. hgiles@auburn.edu
David Buys is a second-year graduate student in Sociology at Auburn University. Along with students, faculty, and staff - he has been part of a team that has created a new Fair Trade Coffee Blend to help raise awareness about ways to join the War on Hunger. Trevor Rowe is the North American Spokesman for the United Nations World Food Programme, the worldÂs largest humanitarian agency, based in Rome. Although the WFP fed over 100 million children last year, Rowe says that hunger has dropped off the public radar screen in recent years, replaced by concerns about war, disease, and terrorism. rowe@un.org

Dr. Paul Polak - a life-long entrepreneur, Paul is President and CEO of International Development Enterprises (IDE), launched in 1981. It is a non-profit, poverty alleviation organization.
