The Fox Movietone News films are held in two separate collections. The primary collection (1919-63, less that specified below) is held by Fox in New York (though stored elsewhere) and essentially unavailable. Librarian Peter Bregman will license the use of a clip if you have it from another source (and has some of the collection on videotape), but there is no access to physical film materials. Anyone is welcome to send a friendly email to Rupert Murdoch requesting a change in company policy :)

The University of South Carolina holds outtakes from the 1920s-40s and certain edited stories from the 1940s. They make material available under strictly limited conditions. License fees are charged.
