Re: .mov Download Problem |
xp3, firefox3.5.6, intelmodem with updated software. Using a free internet dialup site at less than 56k...which downloading at 2.7kbps. (I am testing nocharge.com, way slow, but if able to get to work, would beat the $50 a month charge qwest charges.)Qwest has different plans and packages, with ranges of prices and speeds. I suspect you can get a better price than $50. I do fine at 7MBPS, although I'm thinking of upgrading.
Question: why does the movie stop/cut/end download of .mov files? Works fine if their short movies or audio files.Does this "free" service have terms/restrictions you haven't examined yet? I had a similar service for a time, and it seems there was a cap on the file download size. Limiting bandwidth was one way they saved money. It sounds like you're getting cut off at about the same point each time (~30MB).
You might do a little math, at 2.7KBps, it would take at least 20 hours to download a 200MB file. Is this really worth it?
